  1. The modern version of chess is Persian/Iranian.
    Persians/Iranians completely changed it into this today's version.
    The older one that indians invented was very different.
    Most of the names and termes in this game are also persian.
    Like : shah matt = astonishing the king

  2. Actually, the international status of chess was driven in the twenties through the fifties by famous math and physics career people like Capablanca, whose citizenship varied from Cuba to European countries to Argentina and Brazil.
